Small Miracles

“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”  Hebrews 4:16

Something to Think About:

~Have you ever experienced an incredible (“God”)  moment when you knew God was doing something special just for you?
~Do you believe in miracles and divine intervention in your life?
~Do you go throughout your day with a sense of God’s love for you?

When you get to the end of your own strength, remember some small miracles of the Bible –

  • God sent a rainbow to Noah as a symbol that His love for man would never waver – “Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind.” Genesis 9:14-15
  • God spoke to Moses in a burning bush – “God called to him from within the bush, ‘Moses! Moses!’ and Moses said, ‘Here I am’”. Exodus 3:4 and parted the waters of the sea with His breath to provide deliverance“Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.” Exodus 14:21
  • God allowed a young shepherd boy to conquer a mighty warrior with only a sling shot and a single stone – “Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.” 1 Samuel 17:49
  • Jesus healed a blind man – “Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.” Mark 8:25, a man who had never walked Then he said to the paralytic, ‘Get up, take your mat and go home.’ And the man got up and went home.” Matthew 9:6-7, and even raised a young girl from death to life –“But he took her by the hand and said, ‘My child, get up!’ Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up.” Luke 8:54

The God who performed those miracles is the same God we serve today. He’ll never change.  Whether you see it or not – or you choose to believe it or not - God is still at work in our world today – and in your life as well. Sometimes all you need is to open your eyes to see the small miracles He performs in your life every day. “For your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”  Matthew 6:8

God will…

Give you rest – “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:29

Keep His promises – “He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded, for a thousand generations.” 1 Chronicles 16:15

Take care of you – “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.” Psalm 37:5-6

Remember the works of God, His mercy, and His faithfulness.. Sometimes we forget all God has done for us.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank You for the comfort and provision being Your child, brings to me in every detail of my life. I praise You for the tiny miracles You send every day. Please tenderize my heart so that I am always aware of the “God Moments” all around me. In Jesus’ name! Amen!
