You Are So Loved

September 1, 2009
~Denise Grant

“I will heal their waywardness and love them freely, for my anger has turned away from them.”  Hosea 14:4

You have never lived a loveless day. Nope, not even one. Not a day since your birth, have you spent one single, solitary moment, unloved.

God’s love for you is not dependent on how you look, or even how you think. He loves you in spite of how imperfect you are – and you are (so am I). His love for you is absolutely nonnegotiable and nonreturnable. No matter what you do, no matter how far you fall or how often you fail, no matter how right or how wrong you are, God has a persistent, perpetual, profound, perfect love from which there is nothing you can do to be separated. Never EVER!

But - what about those times you deserted Him? Even though you hung your head in shame and hid from Him under every rock you thought imaginable, you could not hide from the One who created you. He loved you then.

And what about those occasions when you denied Christ? You know the ones I’m speaking of. Though you belonged to Him, you traipsed on the path of those who did not know Him, love Him or serve Him - and when His name was mentioned, you pretended as if you didn’t care. When no one from your church was listening, you cursed like a drunken sailor. When there was no one nearby, you sinned and didn’t look back. God let you hear the crowing of your conscience – yes He did, but even then - He didn’t let you escape from His love.

No matter how hard you’ve tried, your denials cannot diminish His love – nor can your doubts – and you’ve had plenty of doubts, haven’t you?

Jesus wants to become the MOST important person in your life – above your husband – higher than your children – greater than your job and always on top of your friends. He desires to be the greatest love you have ever known – and He will - He can and He is!  He wants you to love Him so much that there’s no room in your heart or life for sin.

Psalm 117:2, gives you two reasons for praising God: 1) He loves you very much and 2) His truth endures. “For He loves us very dearly, and his truth endures. Praise the Lord.”

If God did nothing else for you your whole life, He would still be worthy of your highest love and praise. His love for you is boundless, relentless and limitless.

Do you love Him today? Have you told Him so? Maybe you’ve just not taken the opportunity – well, no time like the present!  Stop and take a moment right now to praise Him for all He’s done for you. Now, thank Him for not giving up on you and always loving you – even when you least deserve it.

Heavenly Father,

I thank You for Your unending love. You love has completely taken over my life. Your ways are faithful and eternal. I know there’s nothing I can ever do that will cause You to stop loving me and I want You to know this moment, I will never stop loving You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. "The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you."
“If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."  2 Chronicles 7:14
